.....the civic reception I'm talking about.

Just shy of unprofessional today, no training 'til Thursday = happy with what we've got - no championship title.

Roy Keane has got it right - no open top bus nonsense - is the limit of Blues' ambition just getting to the Premiership? I fear it is on today's showing. Sunderland much more pofessional today and have their eye on the bigger picture.

Worried already.

With you all the way Keith. It's going to look a bit silly having a parade. Celebrating second place will make us look second rate.

It is a bit sad though, weren't we in the Premiership last season? It's not as if we've never being there before.

What harm will it do, people talk of it making the club look silly. after reading some of the comments on here they would have to go some.

there are a lot of genuine fans about who have not had a chance to show their appreciation to the players on their promotion until now.

well there were many people happy to celebrate being third the last time we went up and I missed out. I admit I am disappointed we didnt go up there and win and be able to celebrate as champions and I am hoping I feel better about it tomorrow because at the moment I don't feel much like celebrating, but cancel it? No way, we were wild with joy after the playoffs, so why shouldnt we be allowed to celebrate promotion whatever way it comes

I desparately hope that the rumours circulating with regard to trouble at Preston are false, however, if there is any truth in them then the City Council should cancel the parade straight way.

To celebrate a second place in a second rate division is one thing but to do it IF our idiots have disgraced our Club again will be shameful.

 I must say i am pleased that blues have been promoted, but can't but help feeling embarassed about the civic reception, yes its nice to take the kids out for the day,but i have to say keane is right civic celebrations for what?? returning where we should be,truth is we should have never been relegated in the first place.

blues have to spend and spend big to compete, blues players took there foot of the gas and celebrated far too early, parties at bruce's house the player of the year awards all with a game to go and the chance to come up as champions and at last put some silverware in a dusty old cabinet

sorry i aint pleased with second, and blues should watch and learn from sunderland, and keane.

leave the celebrations untill we have won something :banghead:

No thanks, watching my 10 year old play in the Tamworth junior football league final.

At least I will see good attacking football, played with commitment and with managers who want to go forward and not play with defensive players in what should be attacking positions

He won't let us do that in case Bruce hands it to Sunderland. He's done it before you know.

Its about ambition. Roy Keane sees it as one small step on a long journey and not worth over celebration. Steve Bruce seems to see it as some sort of redemption. This is the extent of his ambition. It should be a case of: "Right. Premier league here we are. Lets give it a go. Lets see how far we can take it"

You can bet your life that that is how Keane is approaching it. Bruce has the air of "Job done. You cant knock me now".

I agree cant understand it to be honest. We threw it away. But what do you expect,we were born to suffer.Thats part and parcel of being a bluenose.Im glad we went up automatically as i think the play offs we would have struggled as there are teams in there that can score goals.I dont know bout anyone else but it feels like the same feeling as when we go down.Maybe its just dissapointment of being so close.

leave the celebrations untill we have won something :banghead:

Message to all the negative posters who still insist on moaning and whineing even when we have achieved our objective of promotion. We have played 46 games and amassed 86 points which is more than 22 other clubs in this division.

We have won something - promotion to the premiership and the £5 million pounds that go with it.

FFS if you still moan when we get promoted I fear there really is no hope to make you happy. :banghead:

As i have said previous. we do seem to have more than our fair share of mystic megs on here who obviously know what the future is long before it has actually occured.
